Andrew Uncles CeFA MAQ Director – Mortgage & Protection Adviser
In 2004, Andy decided that with the ever changing world of the Financial Services Industry it was time to specialise solely as a Mortgage & Protection Adviser to ensure his clients received the best possible advice. This is now standard practice within Mortgages Explained Ltd with other dedicated specialist working in partnership and providing specialist advice on investments, pensions, savings, commercial lending, equity release, estate planning, wills and long term care.
In 2012, Andy was appointed the director of Mortgages Explained Ltd. He then embedded his ethos that clients should receive clear advice by specialists in their field.
He prides himself on the success of his company and the excellent ongoing services provided.
Andy’s vision of a one business with highly trained specialists to cater for all financial needs required – “a one stop shop”

Nick Gunning CeMAP Mortgage & Protection Adviser
Nick completed his Law and Business Studies at Plymouth City College after which he developed a successful and fulfilling career in media sales with two Blue Chip companies (Daily Mail group and British Telecom) for 15 years.
In 2009 Nick completed the Certificate in Mortgage Advice & Practice and then joined Mortgages Explained Ltd.
Nick believes that the mortgage process needs to be as stress free as possible for clients. He aims to offer a cost-effective solution with straightforward and honest advice.
Even with the more complex cases, his clients should always feel reassured that there is always an alternative solution. This is due to his excellent knowledge about the mortgage and protection markets.

Warren Burnside CeFA MAQ Mortgage & Protection Adviser
Warren has a great deal of experience in the Financial Services Industry. He first worked with Andy whilst representing GAN Financial Services in 1996. It was there that he qualified in Full Financial Planning and Mortgage Advice.
Warren went on to represent Royal Sun Alliance and in 2000 joined Andy at Zurich, continuing on the journey to Mortgages @ Clearwater and finally Mortgages Explained Ltd.
Warren is very passionate about helping both existing and new clients with their financial requirements.

Louise Uncles Strategic Director
Louise started her career in Dingles of Plymouth
(now HOF) as a Bought Ledger Clerk / Central payments officer at the age of 18, progressing into the Personnel Dept. After her 2 boys were born , Louise took a career move at the Plymouth Herald/ Western Morning News for 13 years before moving onto Plymouth Albion RFC for 10 years to aid with Commercial Revenue streams. 4 years were then spent back at the Herald and WMN progressing to South West Consumer Sales Director.
Born and Bred in Plymouth, she took the decision to set up a holiday letting company and aid Andy in progressing Mortgages Explained Ltd to its full potential , through updating processes, recruitment of apprentices and strategic directional operations. Processes and times are changing in this ever evolving world of technology and this was a good point to aid in the business commencing with a new and updated website.
Louise is now also working alongside Plymouth City College and the Skills Group to give apprentices the chance to progress within the Financial Services industry.
Louise prides herself on a positive happy workforce, with work / life balance and high Customer Service levels - the consumer always comes first. Mortgages Explained is a clarification of best practise with a highly motivated team of people who pride themselves in there work.

Alex Allchin Office Administrator
Alex joined Mortgages Explained on the 15th October 2018 for an apprenticeship in Administration. He has now achieved a Level 2 Diploma in Business & Administration and is currently training to achieve the same in Level 3.
Alex is keen to learn the different aspects of financing & office administration within Mortgages Explained to grow his experience and knowledge within this sector of the business.

Dan Saunders Office Administrator
Dan joined Mortgages Explained on 4th March 2019 for a Level 4 Business Administration Apprenticeship, which he has now completed and subsequently been taken on as an Administrator in a full time role.
Dan is keen to progress within administration and into the Financial Sector, to include Research and Paraplanning, building on the skills he has previously acquired. In his spare time, Dan watches Football, Cricket and Formula 1.
